Grant McClure is the Managing Partner at Brightleaf Holdings where he leads new investments and operational initiatives.

In this capacity, he has also served as Head of Partnerships at Optical Training Institute, a leading eye care education and training company owned by Brightleaf Holdings.

Prior to founding Brighleaf, Grant was an investor at a Dallas, Texas-based private equity fund managing $1 billion of assets. At the fund, he evaluated or led investments across a variety of industries including residential and commercial services, consumer services, IT services, and business services. He started his career as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse’s Global Energy Group in Houston, Texas.

Grant earned a BA in Political Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, he worked as an EMT and served as an intern in the White House.

Grant lives in Austin with his wife and golden retriever. Outside of work, you can find him traveling, cycling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He is also an Eagle Scout and a member of the Brookings Council at the Brookings Institution.
